January 1, 2016

Happy New Year!  After watching the Rose Bowl Parade all morning, my kiddos have decided to put in Pitch Perfect!  I'm not so much a T.V. or movie buff, but from my understanding it's quite hysterical! (Yea...I know, I'm probably the only person that has never watched this movie!)  Because January 1st is a day of new beginnings, what better day to begin my first {Currently} link up with Farley from Oh' Boy 4th Grade!

Listening:  I am listening to Fat Amy match pitch as some girls try to recruit her to come to an audition! #ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Loving:  I am loving how I do not have anywhere to go today; therefore, I have the pleasure of staying in my PJs and Ugg Slippers as long as I want!  The fact that I do not have to put on a stitch of makeup or worry about my wicked bedhead delights me more than you will ever know! :)

Thinking:  How sad it is that I will have to set those alarms for Monday morning, and how I don't want this winter break to end!  It's been so nice having my daughter that attends Louisiana Tech University home for the break!  #mynestiscomplete

Wanting:  Someone to go up to my school and run my January Work on Writing and Word Work printables and my other winter and Happy New Year activities for my Daily 5 stations and bellringers!

Needing:  To seriously go brush my teeth!  There's just something about mixing toothpaste and coffee, and I can't do it until I've put the cup of Joe down!  (Super thankful I'm not having to be up close and personal with anyone right now!)

One Little Word:  My goals are to concentrate greatly on my blog in 2016!  After attending the Teachers Pay Teachers Conference in Vegas last summer, I want to discover the power of blogging and how it is aligns to increasing traffic to my TPT Store!  The seminars were fabulous and super encouraging, but at that time, my Facebook page and Instagram seemed to be the only things I could manage and still make products...oh yea, and teach my second graders!

Thanks for your visit!  Are you planning on attending the 2016 TPT Conference?  If so, please leave me a comment, and lets try to meet this summer!

Lots of love from Louisiana and best wishes to you in 2016...

Five for Friday

It was so neat to see what my top 9 Instagram posts of 2015 were!
1.  For the love of Pete (whoever Pete is) if this isn't the gospel and talking straight to me!  2.  My new collaborating STEM partner, Teaching Tidbits and More with Jamie!  (Coming Soon...Simply Southern Science STEM Units!)  3.  Oh...just my January Writing and Word Work (which happens to be on sale today) product that I came across on another teacher's snapstory on Snapchat! 4. My book companion, The Mitten (which is also on sale today!)  5.  A picture from my summer vacation in Mexico!  6.  A quote I live by as a Whole Brain Teaching Intern!  (All of my WBT resources are free in my shop!)  7.  So grateful for the friends and coworkers that were able to come and support me for my Teacher of the Year Recognition at our parish's school board meeting!  9.  My newest Winter ELA and Math product (also on sale today) that is sure to give your students a {WARM} welcome back after the winter break... #bundleup #babyitscoldoutside

All my 17 year old daughter wanted for Christmas was to sponsor this child from Indonesia through the organization, Compassion.  To see the full story of our Christmas Blessing and heart warming video, click here!
I love learning lessons from my children!

Christmas Eve night with my girls!  Sorry Dad...you might have looked goofy wearing matching PJs!

One of my special Christmas gifts handmade by my sweet hubby!  Being a jeweler's
wife can sometimes be like the cobbler's kids!

Happy New Year!  Wishing you a blessed and prosperous New Year full of lots of love and laughter!  As for me on this January 1st...I'm just enjoying a warm, cozy fire with my family, smelling the aroma of bacon as my husband prepares a "Waffle House/Huddle House" breakfast on the farm, and watching Rose Parade!
